What is Included?

Once you arrive to our farm, we greet you warmly and provide you with a saw and cart. Our farm is choose and cut farm meaning that you are free to wander our 16 acres of fields to find the perfect tree, with sizes ranging to 12 ft. Our field trees include Fraser fir, Concolor fir and Korean fir. Trees available for cutting are marked with price tags in the field.  We trim our trees a bit different than other farms to create a looser tree, more suitable for displaying your precious ornaments. After you select and cut your tree and bring it to the service area, we will trim your bottom branches as necessary, shake your tree clean, wrap it and drill the trunk of your tree (if you have one of our pin stands). Shaking, wrapping, and drilling your tree are all included in the cost of your tree. String for tying your tree to your car is also provided. Handmade custom wreaths, tree stands and other Christmas essentials are available for additional purchase.

What is your Pricing?

We evaluate each tree for size, height, fullness and grade and price at approximately $18/foot for the very premium, with many priced much less. We have tried to keep our prices similar to last year. However, some items may be just a bit more to cover increased cost in fertilizer, materials and labor.

Here’s what you are paying for at our tree farm. We hand plant all of our trees, provide irrigation and fertilization, mow between the rows, hand weed within the rows, trim every tree every year that it is growing to give it that classic shape. We straighten the leaders where needed. One of the major jobs is the hand removal of all pine cones in May. This is required on fir trees, otherwise you would be left with unsightly black spikes on your tree when the bracts fall off the cones. Some trees produce over 500 cones, so our staff takes a ladder into the field to reach the tops of the taller trees when they can’t reach them on foot. From the time we plant a 4-yr old transplant, it takes an additional 7 to 12 years before the tree reaches saleable size. The above tasks are repeated every year.

Will Santa be Visiting? Hot Cocoa/Donuts?

Santa will be available on the first two weekends to greet your children. We also provide a template for your letters to Santa and we’ll make certain he receives them in time for Christmas. “The Little Donut Factory” food truck will be onsite to serve up hot beverages and fresh donuts. They are soooo good.

Are Dogs Allowed?

You are welcome to bring your fur babies but we do ask that they remain on a leash during your visit and must kindly ask your consideration to clean up after them.

Photography

We encourage our farm guests to take as many photos as they would like while they are cutting their tree. We welcome professional photographers who would like to bring their own clients to the farm BEFORE we open for the season. However, you must pre-register and schedule with Cathy. There is a fee of $75 per hour for those scheduling mini sessions with their clients. Sorry, WE CAN’T ALLOW professional photographers to bring their clients for mini-sessions after we open for the season on November 22rd.
